Friendship Bracelet Project

We are inviting Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from all over the world to make friendship bracelets and send them to Sangam. We will then sell them in Yahdei, the name of the Sangam shop, for just 10 rupees each (this is approximately 20 US cents or 13 British pence!).
Friendship BraceletsThis will help Sangam to continue supporting its projects, like Children's Camp, and supporting our community partners. This will also allow visitors, and particularly local guides and scouts, to buy something that celebrates the world of WAGGGS and the international friendship we share.

Why not have a bracelet-making meeting with your unit or troop? Make a bracelet for a friend,
and then make another one to send to us here at Sangam. When you pass on your bracelet,
you can share the Sangam Spirit by explaining why you made the bracelet. You can share what you have learned about Sangam or your favourite Guiding/Girl Scouting experience.
We would also like to help promote WAGGGS’ Stop the Violence campaign through our
friendship bracelet project. Learn about the campaign and make your bracelets in the red and green colours of the campaign. This will help us to keep building the whisper into a shout!
Thank you for your friendship and support. We hope you enjoy making your friendship bracelets, and we look forward to receiving them and sharing the international friendship!
Sharing Friendship Bracelets
There is no deadline! This is an ongoing project and you can send your bracelets all year long.
If you have any questions, please email info@sangamworldcentre.org.

Pyjama Promise Party

Today we welcomed Caitlin and Grace who made their promise, we celebrated this special occasion by having a Pyjama Party, decided by the girls themselves.

We started off having a Smartie Game, by getting in sixes and transferring smarties from one bowl to another by using no hands and a straw.

We then of course, had to finish off by eating the smarties.

We painted our toe nails

We had a Foot Spa

We played Winking Murder

We played Duck Duck Goose

We also played Chinese Whispers.

Then we had Hot Chocolate

By now the parents had arrived to watch the Promise Ceremonies, so we finished with the Promise

Making Friends

Our first meeting of the new term was following the theme Friendship, we welcomed two new Brownies.

We started off playing the Find Someone Who......... game, which is where each Brownie is given a sheet with phrases on like Find someone who has 2 brothers, been to last years pantomine, has blue eyes etc, and they have to find someone who fits the description.

Then we played the  Smartie Game, where each Brownie helps themselves to as many Smarties as they like, and as they eat each smartie have to say something about themselves.

Then we made some name labels to hang on the noticeboard, there was a choice of a Flower, Toadstools, or Owl.

Then Holly and Eve organised a Wool Spider Web game, everyone sat in a circle and Eve started off by throwing the ball of wall across the circle calling out the person she was throwing to's name and then it carried on

After everyone had caught the ball of wool and we had a nice Spiders Web then the Brownies had to try and get across the web, either going over or under, without touching the wool if she touched the wool, the rest of the Brownies made an alarm noise
