Quiet day

Had a lie in this morning, then Mum came and bought her cooker covers to extend the worktop, she has left them with me to see how i get on, before i invest in some.

Rest of the day was taken up with more stitching i finished the Kite Surfer.

This evening i went to Bible study at Jo's.

Fly away

I was visiting my son and daughter-in-law last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper.

'This is the 21st century, old man,' he said.

'We don't waste money on newspapers. Here, you can borrow my iPad.'

I can tell you, that fly never knew what hit it...........

When i got home, i ached so badly i can barely move, as well as my awful cough.

This evening i watched Cowboys and Aliens, not too bad, but dark in places, better than i expected, then i watched Salt, which was quite explosive.

Another chaotic sunday

Took the children and me to church this morning.

At lunch we had a carvery with the smith clan in the club Eddie (Entertainment Manager) sees jen and andy and calls them The Waltons!

Then came back home and chilled amongst the noise, unfortunately we didn't spend much time outdoors because it was showery.

After tea, the Smiths went to the club and left Sophie with me, until madness and mayhem starts.

Reference

This morning i went to work, and when i finished Emma had just finished writing my reference as requested by AgeUK, she asked me to post it, so i had a peek, and was really pleased some comments made were -

  • Always cleaned to a High Standard
  • Dawn has an excellent work ethic, she is always enthusiastic at the start of the day and her cheery persona
  • Dawn is a strong cleaner who is very thorough in her work
  • Dawn has always been punctual, is here 15 minutes before her start time to prepare her equipment. Meets all deadlines and timelimits set.
Wow, pretty impressive, i would employ me :).

Carry on Stitching

Today i woke up feeling rough but felt better as the day wore on, i spent the morning doing Housework and preparing for my Time Out Talk tonight.

Then i carried on stitching......this morning was overcast but at lunchtime the sun came out and i retired into the garden:) to carry on stitching, and dozing, dozing then stitching.

This evening i went to present my designs and stitching to Time Out, Bob came with me, we took the laptop, and i did a talk about the cross stitching, and then Bob did a small demonstration of the design work, they looked and discussed the designs, but didn't really want to have a go, they just wanted to chat and ask questions, but i think it went OK.

A good day

Last night during Bible study i got a very dry throat, thought nothing of it except that maybe i was suffering from the heat,  But within an hour of getting home i had a full blown cold, no creeping up on me gradually, but wham bam there it is.

Today we went to Docking Market and had a Cross Stitch Stall, which is the most successful yet, the best we have had so far.  I had a long chat with Michelle Rollason, she is a very interesting lady, she is a Dance/Exercise Teacher and on the Festival of Arts committee.

Today is Andys birthday, and we met the Smith clan at the club and watched a magician, he was quite good, although i left as i wasn't feeling too good.

Today i finished Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James, a novel which everyone is talking about, Libraries can't get enough copies and Shops have sold out. An interesting womans book, some very erotic scenes.

The Fifty Shades trilogy was developed from a Twilight fan fiction originally titled Master of the Universe and published episodically on fan-fiction websites under the pen name "Snowqueens Icedragon". The piece featured characters named after Stephenie Meyer's characters in Twilight, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. After comments concerning the sexual nature of the material, James removed the story from the fan-fiction websites and published it on her own website, FiftyShades.com. Later she rewrote Master of the Universe as an original piece, with the principal characters renamed Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele and removed it from her website prior to publication.[6

Ups and Downs Day

Around 9.30 i got a call from Sam at AgeUK offering me the Job yay so excited, she was most impressed with my practical assessment and the job is mine pending references and CRB.

We went in Lynn today, we went to the Range to get some things for Senior Section,  then into Lynn and took some photos for potential premises for Calendar Club, we went to the walks and had chip butty and pop, just like we used to on Saturday lunch time before we got married.

On the way home, we popped to see mum and dad.

During the day i have had incredible hip pain i am in such despair, i do not know what to do, it is making me so distraught i am just so terrified of going to the doctor.

This evening i had bible study we had an air and share time.

A Hard Hard Day

Micheal and Hana left home about 4am and arrived here about 6.30am, Iliana woke up shortly after. After she got dressed and Breakfasted, Micheal transferred the car seat out of our car to his and they left about 8am.

Then i went to work, on this hot scorching day.  then about 8.45am Micheal rang to say that he had our car keys with him, i asked where he was and he was in PETERBOROUGH, and Bob had to be in work at 9am.  I then proceeded to ring Steven and ask tongue in cheek what was he doing today, when he admitted to nothing, i asked if he could take Bob to work, and then go to Peterborough meet Micheal and get the car keys and we would pay petrol.

So this is what happened, Bob ended up at work 15 minutes late but that couldn't be helped.  The morning consisted of several texts and calls during the morning which got sorted.  A classic text i had from Steven this morning when he was nearly there was -
"Might be here. well I am here if here is here"
During all this time i was working in sweltering exhausting heat.  I finished work about 2pm and collapsed.  Charlotte spent the afternoon here so she could go Senior Section.
Then after tea i had my Senior Section meeting, which we spent down the beach, it was a lovely evening, enjoyed by all.

Family time in the sun

Jen and Andy stayed overnight so Craig, Sarah, Terry and Sandra could stay in their house.

Steven turned up around 8am, so Miles and Charlotte could stay with us, while he took his cupcakes to Drove Orchard Food and Craft Fair, in return Steven took my cross stitch kits with him.

I collected the children for Church, but then hit a snag i couldn't park anywhere so i had to come home and Bob dropped us off at Church.

When we got back all of us this included Jen, Andy, Sophie, Dylan, Craig, Sarah, Terry, Sandra, Miles, Charlotte, me and Bob, went to Manor Park complex for a Carvery.

Then we sat outside and talked and i did some cross stitch, Then Bob Collected Iliana who is staying the night for Micheal to collect her first thing in the morning.

For the first time i had 99% of my grandchildren.

We had a lovely tea lovingly prepared by Andy and Sandra, and lovely cakes baked by Jenny, then we decided to go to the club, the idea to keep Iliana occupied, but it didn't quite work, she just kept running off and wouldn't do as she was told, while Bingo was on i took the children to the playground, still Iliana caused trouble. After Bingo we went back to club to no avail, in the end i gave up and took her home.  On the way back she either ran off or sat down and refused to move, she is so so heavy, and has no discipline, it was really hard work and exhausting.

When we got back, i got her ready for bed, and made her sit on the settee, she wasn't impressed but i refused to let her move, she eventually fell asleep, and when Bob got in he put her to bed and she slept through.

Good Day

This afternoon we had Iliana for tea she was dressed in dungarees, just like her dad used to be at her age, she looked the spitting image of him at her agewith her fair hair, round cheeks and dungarees :), she was a pleasure but mischievous.  She enjoys playing with the shapesorter, feeding the ducks and being read to.

I didn't like the journey there, there was a lot of traffic, i got to Norfolk Showground early so stopped for a break, then i went on, but felt i had overshot the turning, so i rang Steven for guidance, otherwise i might have ended up in the city.  I had overshot and Steven put me right.

I arrived intact, and had to have a practical assessment by cleaning a room, i cleaned an en suite bedroom, i felt i did ok and had no problems, it was a positive experience, and i feel i did my best, so now i have to wait and see.

I went home Fakenham way, where i was much more confident with the travelling and the roads.

End of an era

Today i continued with my stitching, i finished Lets Fly a Kite and put it on sale.

This evening was my last brownie meeting, i was relieved to get through it, but feel sad, it has left a gaping hole in my life, it is the end of an era and I know i will miss it :(

At Brownies tonight i was presented with a card made by the Brownies, A yellow patio rose in a pot, a bottle of wine and some ferraro rocher chocolates.

Quiet Day

Today i did my Tuesday constitutional and did the Housework..............

Mum and Dad came to visit us this morning and we had a chat which was nice.

The rest of the day was took up with stitching, however, i find it can be a lonely occupation. I started the design Go Fly a Kite.

This evening i went to Bible study and we had a social with a Faith Supper which was pleasant, we are carrying on meeting during the summer for informal air and shares.

A Busy Day

Yesterday i had work it was a hard long wet day, i did 7 units getting wet wet wet through.

When i came home i showered then collapsed.

I finished stitching Keep Calm eat cupcake kit, just waiting for threads to make the kits.

Last night we lost the internet, but luckily it is back this morning.

Strange Sunday

First logged on computer and couldn't access Facebook, which turned into a nightmare, they wanted us to download and run McAfee, eventually we had no choice, nothing would clear computer including System Restore.  Eventually i got it back but it took virtually all day.

I really need to get my diet back in order, i need to lose more weight and i have been having heartburn and indigestion, need to get it sorted.

Then i had junior church, and Dylan wouldn't stop running running around.

Then we got home and had a roast dinner, while serving Bob dropped a Carrot in Andys drink, which Andy proceeded to drink including eating the carrot.

Adam sent me the link for http://www.ereaderiq.co.uk/ whick is a site for FREE kindle books, i now understand why his wife Andrea has got 400 unread books on her kindle.

Then the children went off to play on the playground, and a lady bought Dylan back he had got too close to a swing and had been knocked over, his lips and mouth was bleeding and swollen.

I finished my Norfolk Windmill cross stitch and started Keep calm eat a cupcake one :) while watching CSI and Wallender.

Gunge Galore

We started off today by going to Manor Park complex and had a Mini Breakfast which was 2 for £5, this included sausage, bacon, egg, beans and tomato with toast and cup of tea, very nice and great value.

However, as we were about to leave some workman were blocking off our road, Bob had a word so we could get out, and we let Sarah know, Bob then went and had a word with reception who sent someone round to let all the vans down our road know.

At lunch time Bobs friend Adam and Andrea came and to visit, we had fish and chips and while the men talked trains me and Andrea had an interesting conversation on kindles, and ebooks.

This morning i finished reading Path of the Assassin by Brad Thor (Havath book 2)

This afternoon i watched a DVD from Lovefilm.

It was CSI:NY, the third episode Hammer Down was the second part of the CSI Trilogy.

Battle Scars
It Happened to Me
Hammer Down

This evening i met Jen and Andy down at the club,  their was a text vote going on to see which of the Teamstars were gunged, it was a draw and Sarah and Christina were gunged, i felt sorry for Christina as she really didn't want it.

The caberet was Jokerz Wild, it was a good comedy Trio act, thorougly enjoyable

I have been curious about the trilogy of books 50 shades of grey by E L James, as everyone seems to be talking about them, i enquired about them on facebook earlier, and when i got home Paul Sullivan had emailed them to me, so i put them on my kindle, and it is all systems go,

Exhausting

Difficult day today at work, i did 4 vans in Kensington, which is as far from housekeeping as you can get, it was so exhausting and tiring.  I ended up doing 6 vans and got home about 4pm. The pain is so bad now, i did the rare thing of taking some Ibupropen today without being persuaded, so i must be bad.

While working, Janet Groom rang and Time Out  had been let downby the scrapbooking lady and she asked would i be prepared to take my cross stitch and do a talk/demonstration on the 26th July.  I have wondered about doing talks so i will have to get prepared, good PR anyway :)

I got a card from all the Division of Norfolk Girlguiding today which was very nice.

This evening i had a CSI evening.

Quiet Day

I have been most unhappy and unsettled since last nights Brownie Meeting, Sue always seems to belittle me and leaves me feeling anxious, i really do not want to go to brownies next week, oh what is the answer.

Today i spent stitching the Norfolk Windmill pattern, this afternoon Iliana came and spoke to her Dad, we went for a walk and she fell over trying to escape from me, then she fed the ducks with Sophie, Sophie ran from them and Iliana chased them.

Overall a quiet and lonely day. I do not feel too good, my head is throbbing and i have heart burn today probably due to my poor diet.

I would have liked to have gone to Dylan's sports day today, but didn't feel i could walk that far, it is often a struggled living here without transport i miss so much, i can't do anything Friday or Sat night, and often during the day. I should go and see Mum more, but it is so difficult being transportless.

Tonight i should have gone to Church Meeting but, due to lack of transport and Jen and Andy needing it for beavers, i missed it, it did seem strange not going.

So instead i watched a DVD from Lovefilm, I watched CSI Miami, Season 8, Disk 2.
I got this because i have wanted to watch CSI: Trilogy for some time and on this disk is Part 1 Bone Voyage of the Trilogy.

Dude, Where's my Groom
Bone Voyage

The CSI: Trilogy linked all three CSI television shows for the very first time in a three part story. The seventh episodes of the 2009–2010 season had continuing stories with Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Raymond Langston in all three. The episodes were the CSI: Miami episode "Bone Voyage" broadcast on November 9, the CSI: NY episode "Hammer Down" broadcast on November 11 and the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode "The Lost Girls" broadcast on November 12. In the story, Raymond's search for a lost girl turns into a race as it is discovered she is part of a black market human trafficking ring and has been forced to become a surrogate mother as she goes from Miami, to New York and Las Vegas, enabling him to work with the other CSIs to find her.

Docking here we are

Today i took my cross stitch kits to Docking Market, our table was next to Steven's, it had a lovely atmosphere, and was quite busy in the morning. I had quite a bit of interest but only sold 1 kit, so technically it was a loss, but again it is promoting myself.

I had a young lady visit, she bought a kit off of my, and was fascinated by my guiding kits, her name was Helen Harvey and she was one of Aliraes Guides. She expressed an interest in helping out at a unit 'along the coast', i took her details which i gave to Sue later.

Mandy Craig from Docking Brownies also came to visit, she was the only one who understood my reasons for giving up Brownies and was so supportive, she asked me if i could do some cross stitch with her Brownies i was so excited, she also asked if i could do a sleepover with her brownies as she has no license,  someone wants me i guess, i felt so much better.  Steven comment, 'your retirement didn't last long'.

I didn't have a good brownie meeting, i feel strange, uncomfortable and that i don't belong.
