Helen Skelton joined the Blue Peter team in the summer of 2008, as the 33rd presenter of the long running show.
 Olly Murs
Before The X Factor, Murs grew up in Essex. He worked in telesales, but music and football were his great loves. “All I ever did was go out with my mates, earn money, play football – that was all every week”.
Then an injury playing football forced him to stop. Bored in the local pub one night, he jumped on the karaoke machine. Soon Olly Murs was a local hero, packing them in with his impressions of Presley and Sinatra, singing Motown and soul and funk covers. He and a mate formed a band: The Small Town Blaggers They’d do weddings, parties, anything. They played around Essex every weekend, a few hundred quid in their pocket.
He auditioned for The X Factor. Failed. Auditioned again. Failed. Fed up with his dayjob routine and newly single, using the money saved from his weekend gigs he went travelling round Australia. Then he decided to come back to the UK and give the auditions one more go. It was summer 2009 and he sang Stevie Wonder’s Superstition. He was in.

The London-based trio are bringing some much needed kick and snare to the urban scene. We left Hunstanton about 8am, after a break at South Mimms services we arrived at Wembley Arena about 11.30am.  We went and bought some merchandise then found our seats.

The concert started about 1pm.

Some artists were good some not so good,

Olly Murs - Brilliant
Eliza Doolittle - very good
Pixie Lott - went on stage in her Brownie Uniform, was very good
The Wanted - Very Good
Alexis Jordan - Very Good

Sophie wasn't too impressed, she thought it was just too loud, yes it was loud and noisy, but it was a good show.

It is great people watching, seeing all the lights and the excited young people.

On the way home we stopped at South Mimms Services and had something to eat.

PIXIE Lott has clearly changed her sense of style since her days as a Brownie – but she wouldn't have done well on camping weekends dressed like this.

The singer wore a short dress on-stage at Girlguiding UK's Big Gig at London's O2 yesterday but she also slipped back into her old uniform to perform a few tracks.
