Latest News

Yesterday when visiting Steven, he was bubbling and cantankerous and being a nuisance, up to his usual self, trying to escape.

We had Miles overnight whild Jude worked and he was very good.  This morning i ran Junior Church and we worked on Night and Day and the creation. Then we all had a Roast Dinner, and while mum had the children, me and Jude went to the hospital.

Steven was not quite as bright today, he looked and felt weary, however, he is now eating which is good.

This evening Steven's INR was very low, so he has to be on Clexne tonight.

Clexane injection contains the active ingredient enoxaparin, which is a type of medicine called a low molecular weight heparin. It is used to stop blood clots forming within the blood vessels.

Tonight i watched

X Factor

Mel B joins the panel in Manchester and Anastacia is a guest judge in Glasgow as hundreds of hopefuls try to prove they have what it takes to be the next pop sensation. The judges have already spotted some great potential this year, such as songwriter Ella Henderson and shy supermarket worker Jahmene Douglas, while other contestants have entertained for all the wrong reasons. Dermot O'Leary offers words of encouragement backstage as well as a shoulder to cry on for those who fail to impress.

Strange Sunday

First logged on computer and couldn't access Facebook, which turned into a nightmare, they wanted us to download and run McAfee, eventually we had no choice, nothing would clear computer including System Restore.  Eventually i got it back but it took virtually all day.

I really need to get my diet back in order, i need to lose more weight and i have been having heartburn and indigestion, need to get it sorted.

Then i had junior church, and Dylan wouldn't stop running running around.

Then we got home and had a roast dinner, while serving Bob dropped a Carrot in Andys drink, which Andy proceeded to drink including eating the carrot.

Adam sent me the link for http://www.ereaderiq.co.uk/ whick is a site for FREE kindle books, i now understand why his wife Andrea has got 400 unread books on her kindle.

Then the children went off to play on the playground, and a lady bought Dylan back he had got too close to a swing and had been knocked over, his lips and mouth was bleeding and swollen.

I finished my Norfolk Windmill cross stitch and started Keep calm eat a cupcake one :) while watching CSI and Wallender.

Jesus Calms the Storm

Unfortunately, i was doing Junior Church on Sunday, and the sermon was done by Mark Bish, and Jo said it was quite particular to my circumstances it was based on

Mark 4 35:41

Jesus Calms the Storm
35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”  39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Jo made me some notes i copied them as follows:-

Where is the Lord taking ME this year?
God is with us.  975?
We like safe harbours, we like the edge not the deep.
Life is about change everyday
Durng the journey obedience that we grow.
There is no life in a Dead Place (Church etc)
Jesus has called us to follow him - he has a great plan but it is probably at the other side of the lake.
The disciplies did it immediately, we should do so.
Other boats -  we are not on our own - others are there supporting along side - Joshua 1 v 5.
I will never leave or forsake you
Then came the storm (don't panic!!) taking in water, very little warning, suddenly swamped, surface winds (unpredictable), Ocean currant (God's unchanging love - the flow of it will continue to guide us)
We look for Jesus (He's asleep)
God seems to have gone away and I need him  - 1 John 4:18
No fear in love - Eagles uses storm to lift it above the storms (Isiah)
It's not the burdens that weigh us down it is the way we handle it.
Jesus said 'Quiet, Be still' - the power in Jesus "Losanas comment - it is finished - he is Lord - he speaks quiet words of love and support - we have to listen above the storms.
We need to call on Jesus 'Why are you so afraid'
God is not angry - he wants the best for us.  He wants us to trust him.
They didn't seem to realise his power - they were happy with a human Jesus but struggled with a divine Jesus who commands the World.
With Jesus in the boat of our lives there is calm and peace.

Hear the Pennies Dropping

This is the song the children at Junior Church sing during their own offering.

Hear the Pennies Dropping
Listen while they fall
Every one for Jesus
He shall have them all

Dropping, dropping, dropping
dropping
Hear the Pennies Fall
Every one for Jesus
He shall have them all

How to make Paper Palm Tree

Need: newspaper ( 2 double pieces), tape, scissors
Open and lay the 2 pieces of newspaper out flat. Take sheet 1 and begin rolling it into a tube.

When you reach the center of sheet 1, add sheet 2. Continue rolling until both are rolled into a tube.
Secure the loose ends with tape. Starting at the top of the tube, cut through all surfaces to halfway down the tube. Make 3 to 4 additional cuts.
Starting from the center, gently pull up on the paper. The leaves of the tree will begin to grow.

Junior Church

On Sunday i went down to Junior Church with Ruth, although this is not what i wanted or planned for me because of missing church, it felt good and right.

Ruth often uses salt dough to demonstrate a point, she gave me the recipe.

Salt Dough (Play Dough)
2 Cups Plain Flour
1 Cup Salt
I Cup water added slowly until you have a pliable dough.

Knead it well – keep in air tight container for upto 3-4 weeks.
Dry hard in a very low oven cooked very slowly 2, 3, or 4 hours, depending on thickness of dough.
