Chapter one was most thought provoking, and well worth a read.
Messy Church is packed with craft activities, storytelling, worship and simple homemade meals. The book is for all aged families and is based on two-hour sessions. The book is designed for people to have fun and worship together, enjoying the experience of being part of a team.
The sessions have various themes including - God's family: our family; Jesus' 'I am' sayings; Messy Christmas; New life; and, Bible landscapes.
Each session includes:
• Bible reference and background
• Recipes for the meal
• Ten theme-related craft activities with suggested 'talk about' ideas
• An outline for the concluding act of worship
