Tips on Putting up our Litchfield tent

·       Debbie is planning on borrowing our tent shortly, and Bob went and helped her to have a trial put up today.

StStart with laying out the 2 parts of the inner tent.

·         The inner tents are joined together with two long ropes so they are right distance apart
·         Go round and put in the ground pegs
·         Attach the poles together
·         Thread the poles through the loops of the inner tent with the cross at the top in the middle. The narrower part of the cross should be to the front/back.

·         Cross is important that it is the right way (If the outer tent and inner tent are touching, cross is the wrong way round and needs to be turned round, which means removing outer tent and undoing the cross and turning it 90 degrees)

·         The poles stand in 4 pockets in each corner of the tent
·         Put the main tent over the top and attach to poles

·         Straighten it up and peg it down with the guy ropes.

  • ·         The air vents at either side need to be pulled open to allow correct air flow.

  • The door can be held open with the 2 metal poles and locked in place with the guy ropes. As an alternative, it can be rolled up.
