Sophie Paige

My second Grandaughter Sophie Paige was born on the 7th June 2000, she is the daughter of Jenny.
In September she was named at the Union Church, Hunstanton followed by a tea at Hunstanton Scout and Guide Hut where Debbie and Jo ended up having a food fight.

Special Need Teachers Assistant Mrs Sue Collison and Sophie

As Sophie grew it became apparent that she had a serious speech problem, eventually this was diagnosed as Verbal Dyspraxia, after sending letters of complaint to the press and Norfolk Primary Care she eventually, when she was 7 got weekly speech therapy, this was 2 years after she was promised it, her speech therapist was Amanda Lofts and after 3 years of speech therapy Amanda left as Sophies School Churchill Park had there own speech therapy department.

Sophie has always had this paranoia about bugs, flies, insects it is so bad it borders on hysteria.
In her 10th year her speech has drastically improved, 2 years ago we were told she would never speak intelligently, although it is still obvious she struggles it is so much better, and she can make herself understood.
Unfortunately, as she has grown older there are other problems, she gets angry and frustrated especailly when people can't understand her, another sign of Dyspraxia i feel, but she is a lovely affectionate friendly girl when she is in a good mood!!!!!.
