Bob running for Council

Bob has been persuaded to run for Council, he is being sponsored by Richard and Elaine Bird.

His campaign literature follows the theme as below

Why run for Council

Dawn and I have been a part of the Hunstanton community for more than 20 years.

When we married, we lived in Mattishall, near East Dereham. We were expecting our third child, and moved to Hunstanton so my wife, Dawn, could have family support. (Jackson’s the Shoe People)

I have a passion for the town of Hunstanton.

I can see several areas that are of concern.

Hunstanton Regeneration by now, we should be seeing results from this project, but all we see is decline. I intend to find out what is going on.

I intend to keep asking questions concerning car and coach parking, until I get answers.

Although they are encompassed within the scope of Regeneration, other specific areas of concern are local jobs, affordable housing and local planning issues.

As someone who has had strong links with the business community, I am keen to help our town centre

What can I offer

I can be a voice of reason, without being confrontational.

I will question obscure decisions at every opportunity. I will certainly question anything which could prove negative for the town.

While I cannot offer big sweeping changes, I can make sure I am heard. Sometimes, all it takes is one logical voice, to make the majority rethink a position. I can try to be that voice.
